3.6 project... First setback...
After agreeing on a price, the final inspection reveals a US varioram, not a Euro model as stated. When I told the seller it was not a Euro model, he knowingly replied, "They were all the same that year". Oh well. Better to find out now than after it's in the car.
The biggest disappointment is that the 3.6 transplant remains a concept rather than a project. |
Depending on what year the motor was, he may have been telling you the truth. Talk to Steve Weiner, he has his facts
together on the Variorams. He has done OBDII Variorams in older cars with good results. |
I think the important part is the Euro brain for a Varioram engine because it lacks DriveBlock or something making it easier to adapt and reprogram. Timmon's web sight probably mentions this.
