Rubber plugs for floor pan
This concerns a 1970 T
There are numerous 8mm drain holes in the floor pan. It appears the original factory plugs were rubber and conical in shape with a groove that fitted the holes similar to rubber grommets. There appears to be small hole in the center of each plug. Many of these plugs have dry rotted away to nothing. Does any one know the part number? Can't locate it in any of the Porsche exploded view catalogs. If the dreaded NLA... any other solutions for finding alternate replacements? Thanks up front |

91163125902 is definitely not the right part. The plugs, and plug is the descriptive term, would fill the holes in the center floor pan front to rear. The white almost clear cup shaped plugs are not right either. You concours guys should have a solution. I am interested also in finding these.

They're a VW part, or atleast that's the best I could find for a match.
They are listed as a VW rear apron plug. As an example. Volkswagen Rear Apron Plugs, Bug/Super Beetle/Conv. '52-'79 • VW Parts from So Cal Imports They were a perfect match for the ones I pulled from my 69. Hope that helps.

Thank You Fellows
I visited all the sources listed and found three different vendors to purchase the correct part to fix the problem. Holes! Prices vary but in all cases, not cheap, approximately $2.50 each. If you can't get them, then just about any price is great! Fifteen needed for my 1970 floor pan. |
