Brake part missing screws?
 

Newbie with Porsche brakes. Proud new owner of a 89 930. Brake squeal was irritating me and I removed left rear pads. This retainer part was loose (sort of) and one of the pair had only one screw in it. The other had none. Is this stamped countersink supposed to have screws in each hole fastening it to the caliper? There was enough grime in the hole of the caliper I couldn't tell if it was threaded or just a hole.

Corollary question - recommendations on anti squeal products?

squealing is probrobly high performance race pads. harder compound tends to do do that. If your just driving on the street just get some cheap auto parts store pads

Thanks much! I'm guessing they are high perfect pads. Previous owner added some wheel spacers and a couple other things that I removed to bring back to original.. Pads were in perfect shape. If I can't get the squealing to stop I'll change out.

Any idea about the screws?

I was guessing I was missing them! Looks like I'll need to pull the calipers to get the screws in and clean out the holes.
