Made great gains on one side - but it lead to another issue...

Hi All -
I threw in the towel and decided to go for broke on lowering my seat in the 77. I drilled out the spot welds on the center tunnel (that was scary as hell) and then ground out the weld on the long side mount and built my own brackets. They are burley and include floor supports (sorry, no pics!). Very very pleased - I have a good 2.5" of head room - the car is SO comfortable. I think I can even go back to the stock wheel - very very pleased!!

However..... my car came with 993 seats where the seat belt receivers are attached to the actual seat. I had to cut these off to fit the seat down between the center tunnel and long. As well, while the bracket is still on the tunnel, I have none of the original 77 belt parts.

The original 77 belts have a different bayonet/receiver that the later belts that are in my car. I am trying to find an original set. However, I noticed that the receivers on the much newer cars (boxsters, etc) look identical to my updated belts - and they mount very similarly to the original 1977 center tunnel mounts.

Does anyone know if Porsche kept the receiver/bayonet the same?
here are some pics:

The factory 1977 receivers:

The style of my existing receivers:

A Boxster receiver:

It would sure be nice to simply buy a boxster receiver and bolt everything up, verses sourcing and installing a good 1977 belt.

Any input is hugely appreciated!!!

I am a seatbelt away from being able to "really" drive my car!!
