Clock Gauge Diameter
I've got a dead clock in my 3.2 and am considering replacing it with something more useful.
Does anyone know the gauge diameter of the clock? (my car is unfortunately away and I can't measure it myself)

My '71 without the rubber seal is 80mm, I believe they are the same. Is yours a VDO quartz, I've seen many of those keep good time?

It IS VDO quartz and I'm sure it was accurate back in the day, but 28 years must have taken a toll on the mechanism. Thanks, BTW!

Before you pitch it, open it up and dab some Deoxit 5 electronic cleaner/lube on the moving parts. It could be just a little corrosion causing problems. Don't spray it, it's hard to do a little bit and it will go flyin'.
