I had another look at the fuel pump today. It really only switches on and off at VERY low fuel rates. Probably much too low for the engine to be running. I suspect that it may just be the springiness in the pump cut-out switch.

However, a REALLY strange thing did emerge: About every 5th time that I lifted the flow meter to start the pump (ignition in run position, engine not running), a loud CRACK came out of the HT (spark) coil!! I have NO idea what that is about but it can't be good! It looks as though when the system voltage drops, the HT coil sparks inside.

I've posted a couple of movies. The first is the injectors at very low flow and a bit more. The second is the engine running , but I couldn't hear the misfire on my laptop. Near the end I hold cardboard by the exhaust pipe and you can see the irregularity of the running.

By the way - I've tried EVERY possible enrichment of the CIS!

Please offer suggestions: I'm ready to shoot it between the eyes.
