1977 911S new owner

I am picking up a wide body 1977 911S today and am new to aircooled 911 cars and will have a few questions after the car is here but for now I only have one question and it is about power brakes. The motor has been fitted with several updates like 930 cams and carburetors that replaced the injection setup and now the power brakes are not hooked up. Can I drill and thread a port in the carb intake on one side to run a hose to the booster or should I buy a 12 volt pump specific for this purpose. I would like to run a hose if possible because this car has been sitting awhile and will need the money for other things. Any help would be appricated and photos of a good vaccum location point would be welcome as well.

My 77 has factory power brakes.

So I think the vacuum line and booster should be there unless removed by PO

And yes you can tap into the carb intake to get vacuum

If you have to run a new line and you have no booster I would consider electric vacuum assisted brakes.

Hope it helps

930 cams? Hmmmm, 20/21 and 964 cams I have heard as an upgrade. Turbo cams? That's a new one.

'77 is the first year for the brake booster. The carb manifold should have an area that can be drilled and tapped for a vacuum line - mine is on cyl #2 or #3 - use a check valve in-line. The vacuum line through the tunnel for the booster is already there - if you can't find it let me know and I'll post a pic of its location.
