can you put 993 or boxster wheels on a 76 911?

title says it all. I'm looking for a set of 16X7 16X8 wheels for my track day car, and I see more available for the 993/ boxster than for my '76. Is the bolt pattern or offset wrong, or do they bolt right up?

Thanks !

You'll need an extra set of spacers...the early car offset if +23 I think, and the later offset is +48 or something...

there's a thread on it somewhere....

A guy here in Atlanta just went up to a tire shop and got the whole setup..
