Camshaft oil line
![]() Car is a 1988 911. Ordered new camshaft oil lines and I am having difficuty in making the drivers side fit. The length of the hose is fine and it mounts up just fine, but the boss for the chain tensioner does not match up. I do not want to move the tensioner line since it is so fragile. It is approx. 2cm off. Did a search but found no leads. Any suggestions??? ![]() |

Buy the connector line to the tensioner then you'll match correctly. There was a change several years ago.

Thanks for the reply.
Can I reuse the support bracket for the tensioner line, or has that changed too? |

Yes.
Ran into the same problem a few years ago. Did search the forum and the fix was, beside buying the new line, as per Flat6pac, to bent the line to match the boss "new" position. Since i was afraid of kinking it, my buddy did it in less then 30 seconds.
