Any Brooklyn-area Pelicans around to help?

Hi,

Wondering if I someone in the NYC / Brooklyn area can help me out. I have an opportunity to buy an older pre-70s 911 and need some eyes to take a look-see before I wire any deposit. The seller is in Brooklyn, says he has the title and will call me with an address once he locates it. Will probably need to go today as this thing is priced to sell. It might be to good to be true, but I have missed out in the past and don't want to miss out again. If you think you can help, send me an email. There is a case of beer or maybe some odd 911 parts in for you. Thanks.

brklyn Pcar

Hi Tdw,
Coincidentally, I am looking at an Ad for a red Targa in Brklyn NY and I just emailed them to call me ASAP....but, I get a very uneasy feeling that this is a scam car because of price$$ and photo back drop...sorry but I'm the cautious type. I hope this is not the the same car you're asking about, or if it is, let's hope it's real. I am not interested in this car as I just got a call on another Pcar, a 356 I've wanted to buy and it may come together...so Please tread lightly here with caution. If they call or email me I will gladly pass any info along to you right away
If it's real, good luck and nice find. I also have a friend in NYC who may be able to help you. He's honest and knowledgeable.
Regards,

Ha! Itsure smells funny, that red targa listed does not look like it's any part of "Brooklyn" I know.

For sure, for sure
I never saw too many homes with terra cotta roofs and the hills of California in the background when I was in Brklyn. Lots of slate roofs though...and an occasional Wayne Carini 250 Lusso garage find/steal.

The ad was running in a Florida Craigslist . 911t. Not that I want to sound like a hero, but I actually told the guy he was charging too little and that if it was as described, I would pay him more than asking. Not a lot, but more. Mainly because I would have to explain to my wife why I we now owned 3 911's in a two driver family.

FYI still no reply to my text at 1:00 PM ET asking for a Brooklyn address. I guess he is still looking for the title. Funny thing is that he never asked for any money, deposit or otherwise.
