Experience/Opinions on Nitto NT555 tires?
Purchased these for my widebody 911 (245/45-17 & 315/35-17) for a very reasonable price (well, reasonable when the Michelin 15s were almost $600 each). Hope to go for a drive next week.
Any experience or input?

Can't comment on the 555's but I can say that I am happy with the Nitto brand with my NT-01's.

I have not run those but probably shredded about a dozen sets of NT-01s. Those are my favorite track day tire.
I ran the NT-05 for one season on the street but did not like. They were not as grippy as RS-3s and melted off my rims in no time. I have heard the 555s are much better.

I've run the 555RII version on my Z06 for quite a while and have really enjoyed them. No problems at all, even worked fine in the wet.

I have NT01 for track and NT05's for the street - the NT01's are excellent - The NT05's are just average. at the track the NT05's go off pretty quickly unless you go real low on the pressures - but then they feel squirmy
No advice on the 555's but from what I understand the 555's are the answer to many being less then enthralled with the NT05's
