Something unplugged in the engine compartment
I was poking around the engine compartment yesterday and noticed two wires were unplugged from each other. I couldn't quite trace where they went or came from. They plugged together right near the blower motor (to the left of the air intake). Does anyone know what this might be? Oxygen sensor?
It's about a four pin plug. Sorry I can't be of more help, but maybe somebody knows right off. Thanks.

yes that sounds like ox sensor. One end should go thru the left wheel well into the exhaust

You have a euro SC, so there shouldn't be an O2 sensor. One may have been added to pass Federalization, but it's connector will not have anywhere to plug into. No O2 wiring harness.
Sounds like your wires are something else. Give a better explaination of their location. Color? Rob Euro '80SC |

I had a similar issue and I believe the wires were for the optional rear windshield wiper. Not sure though.

It looks like one side plugs right into the blower and the other side runs to a wiring harness that may go into the car. There are two wires - brown and yellow with a black stripe.
Could it have something to do with auto-heat? My car has auto-heat, but I know it doesn't work.

That's the power for your auxillary heater blower. Those blower units are crap, and often fail.
