Anyone on this list running factory high butterfly injection?
I am in the process of switching my 2.5 liter short stroke from Carbs to factory high butterfly injection. I already have twin plug heads, but will have to get the port machined for the injectors. Any other changes?? Does anyone have a complete list available? What pressure fuel pump is required? Thanks.

I'll just show my ignorance with the next question.
Isn't the high butterfly injection really big bore (like 50mm)?? The second question on the fuel pump - you should be able to use whatever Porsche did on, for example, the 2.7RS (I think it is 1500cc/minute one). |
Jim,
Are you having the heads ported too match the stacks too? Those are some big Mo Fo's for a 2.5. We bored out a set of Mag intakes for my car and i don't think that they are quite as big as the high butterfly. If i remember right the throttle plates on those are 50mm. I would love to see some pics of the intakes if you have them. What size headers are you using? A friend of mine has a 2.5 with slide valves that he used to run in his 910 but the thing makes 300hp! and he couldn't keep those little vintage tires hooked up. Paul MFIWDP |
The 906s with 2.0L engines used to run high butterfies at times...
