1969 911E Motor value?

Found a car with a 1969 911e motor in it. The engine turns freely. Thoughts on value? The drivetrain is there and the MFI is intact.

Going to split the drivetrain from the motor. I deciphered the type and year of the motor from the 911 engine decoder online.

Thanks, just trying to make a decision on whether to sell the motor and trans separate from the car or sell the car (912) and keep the motor and trans

For top value, I'd sell the motor separate from the MFI and pump.
Maybe 3K for an unknown motor with no induction
The MFI and pump, not sure, but these are rare and I think you would be pleasantly surprised.

Have you checked the transmission numbers to see if it is a match for year/type of the motor? If it is I wouldn't separate, yet.

Post the motor and trans numbers over on the S Registry in the Lost and Found thread and try to reunite with the original chassis. I would also post the numbers in the search feature, someone might have the numbers listed already.

You could also Google or Bing the numbers to see what comes up, do that before you enter yourself into a thread though or you'll get your posts.

Someone on here offered me what I think is pretty fair amount for the 912 and the complete motor and trans (everything as it sits).

My goal was to make a bastard long hood, but I am thinking neither the car or the motor are perfect for what I am looking for...just trying to sort through all of that before I sell part of this or the whole thing and regret it...

Car should be in my driveway on Friday, I will share more details at that point as far as pics and numbers...

Any other thoughts or guidance is totally appreciated. My goal is to build a 72' bastard hot rod with a 3 liter or larger.
