Drive with No Speedo

The odometer in my SC decided to stop working after I reset the trip at the gas station the other day. It is on its way to North Hollywood Speedometer for repair as I didn't want to risk further damage doing the repair on my own.

The real question is if I tape up the ends of the electrical connections in the dash is it ok to drive with the speedo removed? I can't think of anything it would hurt. The weather is so nice and I would hate to not drive the car at all in the next 10 or so days it is going to take to get the repaired speedo back.

Mine worked fine when I did it. Not a bad idea to tape up the ends.

New speedo repair shop find in San Diego CA

Depends on where you live for fast turn around.

I used my GPS as a speedo and taped the ends.

I'm going to try and hold off on driving. NHS said I should have it back by the end of next week. If I decide I NEED my 911 fix I'll just tape up the ends and go.

You'd think I'm completely off my rocker...My car has no horns (yes, kinda dumb I know)

70mph is about 3k in 5th. Everything else getting there is subjective
