Porsche Books- Shop Manuals

When I bought my car, it came with a box full of books and manuals. Looks to be original shop manuals. Can anyone tell me if these were something that could be ordered by anyone from Porsche, or were they only sold/given to dealers? Being a millenial, I've never used them preferring to use online guides instead.

Are they worth anything?

I'd be open to selling them, but I wonder if there's a way I can have them scanned into a .pdf document first? Anyone with experience on this?

I also just found this German owner's manual in the box. I keep the English version in the car.

The workshop manuals alone are worth several hundred dollars. The manuals were available to anyone willing to pay for them, not just Porsche shops. The manuals are still available on the Internet. The other books I guess you can search Amazon to see what the used value is. The workshop manual is already available in PDF form somewhere on the Internet. I have a copy in PDF. So much easier to search the PDF than the book and you can print the pages you need if you want a hard copy. Get the pages dirty and oily then throw it away and print it again if needed. You should keep that set of books as part of the car package if you ever decide to sell it. Makes a great selling point.

Thank you for the info. I should have searched first; I ended up finding some older FS threads with the manuals.

Would you be willing to e-mail a copy of the pdf file for the manuals? You're definitely right, it'd be much easier to use than the books.

Wow, lots of interest in buying these manuals!

I just bought a PDF version on eBay. If it looks as thorough once I get the download link, I will offer the manuals for sale. I'll also have a digital copy for anyone who may need one. Free, of course
