no dash cover pics???

My dash is cracked, thinking of removing and still driving while I wait for a replacement...
Does some have a picture of the dash removed?
Can you drive without it???
thanks anthony

To remove the dash on my 80SC you have to remove the windshield and the fresh air blower in the frunk to get access to all of the hardware that holds it in place.

Without the dash cover, the gauge lights reflect in the windhield, very distracting. Makes night driving a real pain.

dash removal

Kind of tough to drive without the dash. Too many other things need to come out with it to do a good job.

There is a great how to with pics that was posted the last few months if you search. You have to take the windshield out and pull out but not disconnect at least one of the gauges. You also have to remove the carboard cover in the frunk. It requires some patience and some multiple long extensions. Its proably not worth it to go in and out with tthe windshield twice because you may ruin a $100 window gasket.
