Speedo question

I searched but couldn't find the problem I have. My speedo sometimes doesn't work until I tap on the face of it with my finger, then it works. How easily do I remedy this one? Can I just pull out the speedo, take apart and use some WD40?

I would say that if you can "tap" the speedo and it starts to work that you might want to take it out and send it to North Hollywood Speedometer in Southern California. They have quick turnaround and will fix your problem if it is fact in the speedo.

Just my opinion...
