Rear wheel hight/alignment question
Dear experts:
I have the following short question in regard to red wheel alignment/height of 82 Porsche 911 SC. I would appreciate receiving your answers to my questions: 1. How much of change in height can one achieve with the rear wheel height adjustment bolt, without removing the rear wheel spindle off? 2. According to my measurement, I would need a 36 mm thin wrench to move the height adjustment bolt; correct? 3. In order to set the camber, do I need to loosen the height adjustment bolt and ride-height securing bolts (I am pretty sure I should)? Do I need to loosen the toe bolt as well. 4. And to set the toe; is it same as in 3 above? Thank you for your time. The car-nut. |
If my memory serves me right.......

1). If you have the OEM adjustable spring plate, it as about 3/4" (less than inch) max. range in adjustment. 2). 36 mm wench. 3). No. But has to loosen the toe-in bolt. 4). Yes. The key is keeping the cam of the other bolt from moving. For example, if you are adjusting the toe-in, the camber would be slightly changed and vice versa. Tony |
Short and sweet!
