I've developed a jiggle!

Did lots of driving this weekend Unfortunately, my steering column began to jiggle today. Has this happened to anyone?

Use the Mitch Leland bushing our host sells. It's straight forward and well made.

Thanks OldSpool! I was just looking at the part.

Since I'll have the wheel off, I may go Momo.. And since I'm making a purchase, I may go ahead and get a shiny new pedal set and floor boards. And new shift bushings. And Sein Gate..

Yikes.. This bushing is getting expensive!

PorscheDude, I like the way you're thinking. I've been looking for an excuse to get rid of that wheel.

No problem, George. There is an 'S' wheel I just commented on in the FS section. I'm sure he would take an offer under his 600 ask price.

Its plastic, vacuum the old crap out, and lube the new one before you pound it in. Hit it straight, you only get one chance to pound it in straight. I've heard extracting a miss aligned one is a pain.

Before a sein gate try the factory shifter and rear coupler bushings for about $35 made a World of difference on my 84

Btw, we all have jiggles. Some just admit it more than most.

Definitely get the Momo. Makes all work in that area much easier in addition to its more apparent benefits.

TheSt|G,

It is time to go momo for sure. I will probably need a momo hub? The sparco wheel looks to have the same bolt pattern as momo.. Maybe I don't need a hub?

You need the Momo hub for sure. Also a good time to consider a spacer if you want to lift the wheel further off the dash. I'm running a 2" straight spacer and the ~1" JWest eccentric spacer to pull the wheel up off the dash and tilt it down slightly. Hugely improved as I can now wrestle the wheel without extending my arms all the way.
