Question 911R wheel mystery to solve ... ?

This might be fun.

I picked up the wheels this evening and was happy to find them in very nice condition. Not surprisingly, there aren't any part number stampings inside, just a single number in each - one is 41 and the other is 42. How do you know they're "really" R wheels? Dunno, but they're consistent with other pictures I've seen.

But, someone has written on each rim with an engraver. The writing is at the same place near each wheel's stem. Below are scans of the writing.

Wheel #41 ...

... and #42.

What does it mean? Enquiring minds want to know!

Imagine the stories behind the markings! Perhaps it's German for "Stolen from Hans Stuck" or Porsche-code for "For Installation on Ferry Porsche's 914/8"

You are very lucky, Greg!

Roland will know.

Looks to me the first word is forge, the numbers are probably production codes/dates. The last squigle is the engravers autograph.

Looks more like the word "FORCE" to me.

THen Y187 or 4187

then IOD or something. TOo many letter/number possibilities on that...

Plus it looks as if the engraver was drinking...
