70T 2.2 fuel system rehab - Zenith
I am trying to sort out the old fuel system on this sleeping lady and have a few questions. I haven't located a fuel filter (except the screen/one in the tank possibly) but I did get an inline filter from our hosts as part of my overhaul kit. I assume this goes somewhere between the pump and the carbs and is aftermarket? Suggestions on where to put it?
![]() I found this on the PP fuel system pages for my car. seems accurate to what I have. only filters I found were the ones on the end of fuel lines inside the tank in parts diagrams. ![]() Also wondering about these very small lines on the bottom of the carbs? are they return/overflow lines? ![]() Just trying to get this all sorted out before I try to start it so I don't burn down my car. Thanks, -Daryl

Daryl,
I've got my inline filter between the hardline that emerges from the left longitudinal in the engine compartment and the carbs. Mike

Thanks Mike. Seems like easier to get to view and for replacement in the future but I was concerned it might cause vapor lock or issues on hot days vs up front.

I too installed a gas filter in the left side of my 1970 911T engine compartment. I have not had any issue while running in very hot days.
