Does anyone have experience with installing a racing harness in an early 911 (71)? Any suggestions?

You need something to mount the top straps to....most use a harness bar or a roll bar. The bottom ones bolt to the floor, you can use the seat belt anchors in some cases or drill new holes for eyebolts.

I saw an ad for a Schroth harness the other day in European Car magazine. It apparently uses the stock rear seat belt anchors for the shoulder straps and the stock front anchors for the lap belts. They've got a website, but it's sort of confusing and I couldn't figure out if they make one for the 911 because they sell several different types of harnesses. Anybody heard of these or used them?

I have Schroth belts on my car and the do utilize the existing mounting points for the side belts. To anchor the shoulder belts, they recommend an eye bolt the replaces the rear seat mounting point. Usually the two shoulder belts are merged into one before this mounting point. This MUST be used with a harness bar to bring the force even with the shoulder height. The only hole that need drilled is for the sub belt. Schroth makes the best belts on the market. For the system to be done right, these should be used with a roll bar/cage for maximum crash protection.
