Brain Trust.....
Is there any reason I should not put my baby on jackstands for the winter and take the wheels off her?? I have the stabil ready to go this weekend and am pondering the above..... Thanks in advance...

You will avoid tire flat spots and if you are with State Farm Insurance you could reduce your policy to just the comprehensive part for the winter.

You could put her on stands and leave the wheels on...
I have never experienced flat spotted tires using Dunlop Star Specs and Conti Extreme Contact DWs. Mine has spent the six months we get of winter up here every year on a concrete floor in an unheated garage, sometimes with temperatures approaching -40 F. I've never had any issues. Stabilize the fuel, protect the battery and perhaps even do an oil change before the long sleep.

After washing and drying mine thorouly, I raise mine up on jack stands, change the oil, then take those winter months as an opportunity to carefully check things over. Lots of small projects to keep me busy over the winter. Also, inside the garage with good lighting I don't get as depressed with the short winter days and rarely seeing the sun!
