I can't believe it!! I had my car aligned and corner balanced today. I didn't inspect the body when I picked the car up but I just noticed 3 big scratches in my quarter panel. Two look like they might rub out but one looks like it's through the paint.
F@#%er!! What should I do? Should I ask for compensation? I can't believe the guy didn't tell me he scratched my car. Did he think I wouldn't notice? The damage isn't major enough for painting but Sh&%, now I'm going to be pissed everytime I get out of the thing. Any suggestions? Sorry for the venting but this is the second time a shop scratched up my car. I had better luck with my Honda. You'd think porsche shops would treat cars a little better. Don,
That sucks. The auto electrician once slammed the door of our 930 into the lift post, leaving a nasty ding in the panel. I was so pissed you can't believe. I confronted him, and he said that he didn't notice, but then called himself the body shop to have it repaired ASAP. He was so sorry, and really wanted to make it good again. I think you should go there and show it to the shop owner, and go from his reaction. If he is genuinely sorry, then you will probably feel better too, and get some repair or compensation. If he's acting like an a**, then unleash hell on him. Depends on how much you know him, and on possible future work from him. In my case The bump is still there, because the car has many more marks, and because he did some more things on cars for a really NICE price. "the ony way to keep it pristine is to lock it up, bit then why bother owning it?" GeorgeK |
