Exhaust smell in the car

Today it was 40 degrees out and I had a real need for a drive. I noticed that when I turned the heat on there was enough exhaust fume smell in the car to crack the window. Everything in my car is basically new, SSI's, muffler, etc. Any obvious reason that I am missing? Thanks

Exhaust fumes or oil smell?
Can't imagine you having 'fumes' in the car with a sealed system (SSI's and proper hose).
If you use the additional electric booster fan in the engine bay it is easy to pick up that hot oil smell if things are a bit grungy.
Actually, since the cooling fan is sucking air from the engine bay anyways the same thing can happen.
Clean engine, no smell.

It was definetly exhaust. The engine and bay are spotless. Sounds like I may have to check out the SSi's
