Stack 430 Tachometer with Bosch CDI 6 pin
Hello
Is it possible to use Stack 430 as tachometer with a 6 pin CDI box ( Bosch 004) ? I have wired TD pin directly to orange Stack wire but the needle didn't move at all. The orginal tachometer was useable without any problem. Thanks for your help |

My understanding is the factory VDO tachs are matched to the engine/ignition of that year car, most modern tachs have that adaption in the selector, don't know about your brand however. |
Hi
Thanks for your reply ;) No adapter My tachometer ( 911 641 301 03) is totally functional with the Bosch 6 pin CDI ( 0 227 300 004). But when I put my Stack there is no needle movement. I can say : my Stack tachometer is functional with Bosch 3 pin CDI ( 0 227 200 001 ) too. ? |

Hi
3 pins and 8 pins boxes there is no problem with Stack For 6 pins you need to modify it ( diode D8) Manu |
Thanks for answer.Did you mean to modify the CDI-box....?

Seems that Stack needs a 0v/12v switching pulse width signal as stated by Gerberding:
https://www.911-hkz.de/TDSignal.htm Furter below you can see the Stack regarding part. Its german but todays google translator output is quite ok. BR |
..Thanks..
