Looks like a fire resulting from the infamous A/C condensor fan. There are a LOT of wires running around the location of such a fire. Could be scary....

I was expecting to see a car with a burned up back end. I've seen a few old VW's like that. I guess it wouldn't hurt to put those fan wires in a sturdy conduit, then. Is this a common problem with air-conditioned 911's?

I'm not sure about the earlier cars, but the motor over the front condensor in Carreras is not fused... ie. when it goes it has a tendency to keep burning. You can add a "cheap" inline fuse to prevent the front of your car from looking like this one.

I think his price is a wee bit optimistic. You can get perfectly good higher miles G50 cars for what he's asking.
