Engine Rebuild Book Preview - NOW AVAILABLE FOR ORDERING - Reduced to $79
Here's the scoop. I am only going to have a limited number of these preview copies printed, based on the number of orders we receive. The color version is due out in Q1 2003. That could be anywhere from January to March. If you are planning on rebuilding your engine before then, I suggest that you place an order now. I've reduced the price to $79, because the printing is not going to be as much as I expected it to be. This will include a copy of the color book, and the bonus CD when it comes out (free shipping too).
I may do a 2nd printing of the preview copy if there is enough interest after all of the initial copies are gone. No guarantees though. I am basically doing this to help people who are rebuilding their engines now, and also to help get the word/buzz out about the book. Hopefully, the people with the B&W version will create some anticipation for those who are waiting for the finished color version. Anyways, here is the link to the page where you can find out more details: http://www.101projects.com/preview_rebuild.htm Again, a limited number of copies will be ordered after about a week of taking orders, so if you want one, I suggest that you don't wait, because I'm only going to print copies for which I have orders for (I don't want to get stuck with any B&W copies when the color ones get here). Enjoy! -Wayne |
Wayne, so if I order now for $79 I get:
1. The B&W advanced version now; 2. The color version when in comes out; 3. The bonus CD; and 4. Free shipping? |
Wayne, You do plan on signing the color copy right?
Placed my order just now. |
Okay, let's clarify:
For $79 you get: 1. The B&W advanced version mailed out on or about Oct 30th; 2. The color version when in comes out; 3. The bonus CD; and 4. Free shipping on the color one & bonus CD when it's mailed to you. Makes sense? So when the color ones come in, you will receive one right away from our initial batch... -Wayne |
COOL! Even though I'm about 70k miles away from a rebuild, I'm gonna order a B&W copy anyway.
|
OK Wayne, now that I've ordered your book you gotta find me a nice $6k Pomona special needing an engine rebuild!
|
Not a problem, except that I'm not going to Pomona this time...
:) -Wayne |
just placed my order. thanks for offering the package you did. it helps to get a preview and a finished version, with the CD.
|
I'm in.
Hey Wayne, can we request it be signed (shoulda thought of that in the 'comments' field. I see this book as the heir apparent to Bruce Anderson's 911 Performance Handbook (did I just say that out loud?), and a signed first edition would be super sweet. |
I'm not signing any of the preview copies, but all of the color copies that will be sent off when they arrive will be signed...
-Wayne |
Count me in, I'm a little way off from a rebuild but I'm starting my homework now.
|
Wayne, I'd like to place an order but I appreciate that your offer probably only applies to US residents - what would be the deal for overseas buyers ?

No, the deal applied to International customers as well. I have entered in a weight of 10 lbs for the preview book into the shopping cart. That is more than enough to cover the cost of the two shipments. Because it's based upon weight, it takes the location factor out of the shipping equation. Make sense? Same deal applies no matter where you live...

Wayne,
I am going to order mine next week, but well lets just say they are sold out. and I have to wait for the color copy will the price still be $79.00 for the one book and CD or am i going to have to pay more.? Eric |
The color version will be $36.95 with the bonus CD-ROM, but will not be out until Q1 2003. If you are thinking of ordering, I suggest that everyone do it before next weekend. That is when I am going to tally up the orders and have the B&W versions printed. Again, I will basically be printing only what has already been ordered (this first time around)...

We placed a parts order last night but we had some questions about the auto ordering? I want to add the book but have not heard back about the other order yet.
