mysterious white light

Swapped in new rear pads and a baffled gas tank yesterday and I've had this light come on intermittently ever since. Anyone know what it is? Was thinking it was an e-brake warning, but doesn't seem to correlate to handle being up.

You may be saying, boy, I sure don't recognize that gauge. My understanding is it was the standard gauge for '69, but most folks opted for the optional gauge that became standard in '70.

That is the emergency brake light. You may have a loose wire that is vibrating and grounding out. Does the light come one when you pull up the brake lever? If not, the switch may be loose, broken, or out of adjustment. Take a look at the base of the brake lever (remove the boot) and see if you can find a fault.
