1987 911 shifter bushings?

My shifter just got a " loose and metallic feel" with a metal to metal sound, got online to order a set of shifter bushings and found none for a 1987.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jack,

I recently posted this thread on overhauling both the shifter shaft seal and the shift bushing.

Shift Rod Bushing here in red, p/n L-424-224-03:

Is probably what you are looking for. The April 2002 Excellence also has a good article on overhauling the shifter.

Let me know if I can be of any help.

Don

while you are at it , take the cross shafts apart
and polish and grease them. makes a big differance and make sure you get the rubber o-rings back in correctly.
