muffler bolts
Removing my stock muffler required cutting two of the three bolts due to rust. The cat bracket was also rusted out. I found the cat bracket and new gasket at Pelican, but no muffler bolts/nuts. I am looking for recommendations/sources. 1985 911 Targa with 3.2. Thanks.

Can you go to local hardware store and use SS metric bolts with plenty of copper anti-seize? I think I have done this in the past with no real problem. The bolts are not chassis/structural.
Good luck, Dave

^what he said
My hardware store was out of SS bolts in the size I needed so I just used some galvanized ones. I'll change them out to stainless with anti-sieze next time I have the muffler off, no big loss if they have to be cut.

Steel including galvanized tends to rust. Stainless will gall. If it as me it would be stainless bolts with copper or bronze nuts and anti seize.
