Dishwasher detergent safe for Mg

I want to throw a lot of Mg parts in my dishwasher to clean them up but something tells me Cascade gel packs are not safe for Mg.

Anyone have firsthand experience with a safe detergent to use?

I used Dawn diswashing soap (the blue one) put it on the parts with a brush or similar and then run dishwasher....

Make sure you run it empty after parts are out to get rid of residue (evidence)

Do not run parts in the dishwasher you use for cleaning your dishes. I use an old one for parts washing and no matter what you do there is residue that is poison
