Any idea what kind of wheels these are?

Bought a 1982 Targa Slant Nose without any info on the modifications that were done. Can anyone identify these rims?

Yes, those are Compomotive wheels as speednme1 says. I believe the sizes you have are 17" x 9" and 17" x 12.5", am I correct? I like the deep lip on the rears, BTW

Your car also appears to have a Gemballa-type rear spoiler, seeing how it has an added air scoop.

Is your car a turbo?

Haven't messed with the wheels yet, but ugh.. I hope not!

Re (BTW): I couldn't agree with you more, but I have so much else going on right now with the car, replacing wheels need to take a back seat. I was going to try something to dress them up. Was thinking of possibly painting. These were my possibilities(in order of my preference)

- brushed centers, red rims
- red centers, brushed rims
- black center, brushed rims
- Completely black
- completely red

I know it's my car but I would love to hear some feedback on this

Couldn't agree more, what would your suggestion be for new rims?

17 on back 16 on front, not sure on width, but extremely wide! The offset is about 50% on the back. I'll get back to you when I get a chance to measure.

Not turbo yet, 3.0 with big bore pistons (so I'm told) with webers and an extremely bizarre dual spark set up. It has a 2nd distributor running off the cam where the scavenger pump would connect. It has dual MSD's. I'm part mechanic, part private investigator on this project, hehe

I'll post some more pics of the body style

BTW- it runs awesome!! Neck snapping quick

100% you should do this, leave the lip as matte as possible though.

I just did it to my homely phone dials and it totally transformed the car.

Spray on Plasti-dip, does wonders.

I like your car, let the haters hate away.

It seems to have 964 look, do you think these are Gemballa?

It does have the 964 bumpers and taillights, and the rear spoiler looks like the only Gemballa element on your car. The same rear spoiler was equipped on the Gemballa Avalanche 930 Slantnose, but with extensions on the rear fenders.

The front fenders also appear to be DP 935 fenders, and your windshield wipers look like they've been reversed since they're normally on the driver's side.

The rear wheels are 17 x 14.5

With 335/35ZR 17

The fronts are 16 x 10

With 245/45ZR 16

Plasti-dip is the way. If you do them in black off the car you don't even need to mask the tires.

Are they seriously that wide? And with 335's? That's like 935-level width
