During the disassembly of my 72T's rear driverside taillight, I came across a three sets of wires taped to the rear taillight assembly. Is this a standard item? I haven't tested it with the voltmeter yet to see what it relates to. Does anybody know what this is? Any guesses?

Yeah, check it with a meter. Maybe the PO was towing a back-hoe with the car, and needed a lighting hook-up for the trailer.

My SC has that, also.
Given that it is only on the driver's side, I always thought it was for a rear fog. But never had the interest to confirm, look it up or test it. |

All of the left taillamp assemblies have the wiring for the European rear fog lamp option ... it it the 'couterpart' to the oil level sensor wiring on the passenger side!

Thanks to all the usual suspects for your replies. I'll try it out just for fun.
