oil filter ?
Question is !!!! I just replaced the oil and filter about 600 hundred miles ago with VR1 20w50 , I now want to change the oil to BP 10w40 for the winter. Do I need to change the oil filter again or will it be ok until spring when I change the back. The tems have been in the 30's and I want to drive the car now..

Personally, I'd leave it. Perhaps remove, drain, fill replace, like I would during regular oil change.
We all have our own ways of dealing with cold driving...like I put a space heater under my engine for "x" time before starting depending on temp...Yup, that is nuts, and I'll gladly own it ![]()

Why change it at all?
Just drive it. Per Porsche, you can safely use 20W-50 for about 15F to over 100F. ![]() Thanks LN Engineering
