Need Pinion bearing race repair

Looks like my Loctite fix on the Pinion bearing race didn't last very long. I know that there are a few shops that will repair this properly. Does anyone know of one in Canada? Or near Seattle? Also, anyone know of a shop with the correct tools to set up backlash, etc. on the West Coast, preferably in Canada? If not, am I correct in assuming John Walker's Workshop could do that, if I can get the damn thing down there. Oh, the joys of owning a classic 911 in Canada!
Thanks.

If you have to ship it a large plastic Ice cooler works great.

Seattle is not that far away...why not talk to John..and arrange to deliver it yourself?
That way you get to see the inner secret cavern that is Johns domain...LOL.
BTW...make sure you declare the case to customs on the way down...and get the paperwork to bring it back...so they don't charge you "duty" on your own parts.

How do you know it didn't hold? what were the telltale signs? Did you use a one piece bearing retainer plate like the one from Wevo or CMS, or the stock two piece? If the stock one was used, was it worn?

I'm just curious because I did the Loctite bearing mount along with the one piece bearing retainer plate and I have no reason to believe it hasn't worked.

I did the Loctite fix a few years ago when I had the tranny apart. I just pulled it again last week, because I felt like there was too something not right with the backlash in the ring and pinion. Glad I did because the race was fairly easy to pull out of the case. There was only a tiny area on the case where I could still see some remnants of the Loctite. I had done very few miles on the car, but they were mainly all Autocross runs. My understanding now is that the heat produced melted the Loctite.

I did not have the one piece retaining plate, but I will after I have the case properly fixed. I haven't yet checked the retaining plates for wear, but I'm not convinced that the one piece would prevent the Loctite from "melting" away anyway.

It won't. The Loctite fix is pretty useless.

My 915 housing is in Colorado right now getting the same thing fixed.

Just too much slop on a 312,xxx case.

Just gotta' fix it correctly.
