Basketweave replacement.

In the process of installing the basketweave material on the dash trim plates. The cat came to mean with the trim off and no material on the trim plates. Can anyone post a good pic or two of the trim that holds the fresh air controls and radio? Both installed and with the basketweave on it but not installed would be helpful. I'm trying to figure out what part of this trim get covered with material, if any.

Here's the issue:

The radio opening is so big, there isn't need the space to put down basketweave material around the opening. In the pic below that I took from someone else's post, there is a lot more space around the radio than my trim has.

Here is the left side of the dash trim where the fresh air controls go. It has a steel plate that was glued to it on the face of the trim. Am I missing that piece on the right side for around the radio?[IMG][/IMG]

There's a backing plate for the radio missing. Just like the black plate for the heat etc. you can probably just fab one pretty easily.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I'm probably not going to do a working radio, but I may pick up a period correct non-working one to put in the dash. I just like the way they look. If I do music it will be iPod based with a bluetooth connection to an amp under a seat. I may have to buy the radio first and use it to get dimensions for the mounting plate.
