Need a Carrera Wiring Expert

In my quest to clean up and correct any wiring defeciencies on the '85 M491 I have run into 2 questionble things.

1st... the easy one.....see below. Can anyone ID the small single wire Molex type connector??

2nd...there is a lone solid black wire, not bundled, loose, coming off the bottom of the 4th fuse from the firewall. It is position 2 on the second fuse block. The chart says it is for all the interior lights. The problem is the wire runs to a solid black wire in tandem with a brown ground wire. It also has a homemade splice in between the points that it connects back into the harness.

My question is what should the proper stock wiring look like for the interior lighting circuit?

I think I got my answers from this thread.

luggage compartment light/Inside lights/clock wiring issue

BTW I Google searched it. Sometimes the BBS search is a PITA.

I am most concerned at the termination of the black wire on the left (driver's side) trunk ibehind the firewall.

TIA
