Case savers and Supertec head studs to make it live. A modern EFI system (Motec, etc.) using PMO throttle bodies would also be nice. Coil on plug technology?
Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go? |
With what you've outlined, the heads are going to be the flow restriction. You're looking at port 'n polish. Plus, depending on what octane you've got available, @9.5:1 you're at the outer limit for single plugs. You're heading into some serious money here. Run the numbers on a 3.2 swap, and consider putting the 2.7 in storage for a fussy future buyer.

If you want a great old-school hot rod motor.....A 2.7S with weber 40's, 9.5:1 JE pistons, E-cams (or equiv), SSIs and a sport muffler.............is a great 911 single-plug, hot rod, street motor. You will like it. I am building one as we speak.
regards, Al PS: take that same recipe, but use EFI/ITBs..........better yet. PS: |
WAAAAYYYYY off topic, but who did you source your bumpers from? Is there anyone in NZ making them? Great looking car!
