What is this electrical engine plug and where does it go?
 

Just put a motor in a 1978 911 SC. While hooking up a few oil lines I noticed there was a black electrical plug not attached behind the motor. I can see with a mirror it's a black plug and I know it's not either of the green ones for the cold start or air as I have verified these are connected with a mirror as well. It's currently below the fuel distributor on the bottom of the motor. Does not feel that the cord is very long so must go somewhere close by. Help! A picture would be nice as to where this goes as I will have to do it blind I am sure. Thanks in advance.

Could it be the fuel pump cut-out? That plugs onto the back of the CIS monitoring unit, right behind and below the right side of the rubber duct on top.

Does your fuel pump run all the time that the ignition is on?

AAR plug is normally black. Between the number 5&6 intake runners on passenger side. The connector is on the number 5 runner side of the device.

Hey I think your on to something.. I see where it is suppose to be plugged in but not. Now to hopefully snake this thing over there
