Smile Ok, last last Rs panel question!

I just rec. my supplies to make my Rs 73 panel. (pull strap, screws , pins and handle)

I took off my door panel and noticed that there is no hole on the side of the leather pull. The doors origianlly had push buttons instead of the pulls in the center.

She's a 1968 car.

Do i drill a hole? My guess is about a one inch hole.

I just rec. the hardware so i really do not have the door panel set up yet.

I am confused on the installing because my first installation on a RS amercia was pretty straight foward.

HELLLLLLLLLLp

Thumbs up the straps are in!

Gosh that web site saved my life on the rs pull strap install.

My friend and i would not drill the 2nd hole until we-we just gave up really. (2hrs in)

The rod pin would not come out @ all, so we decieded to leave it in! We used a star washer to atleast make the pull strap fit a little bit tighter. I was orignally going to use wire ties that some else posted a few weeks ago but the darn pins would not come out. (press fit maybe?)

Now its time for me to make the door panels. It looks like i can use the origanal door panels..

Basically the install took us about 2.5 hours on one door and about 15 mintues on the other.

Good grief , something so easy but tough!

Now that almost everything has been recovered to black , i am now ready to install the carpet. I might have a PRO do this after the person on the rs panels site said that it was a tough job.

I tried looking @ the carpet kit but nothing seems to match vs. the instruction sheet and my car came without carpet.

Cheers
