Distributor ID, 2.7?

I have a points-type distributor, that I was told came from a 2.7, but searching the number stamped on the side has turned up nothing.

The number on the dist body is: 0 231 184 007

The numbers I can find for 2.7s are 0 231 184 001, 002, 003, 004, and the C3, -006.

Does anyone have a Bosch parts list that can tell me what engine this thing came from?

Thanks,

Tom

I checked this in the Bosch book, but a cursory examination gave me no joy.

Sorry,

Jason

Follow up: I called Bosch, and while they couldn't tell me what car it came from, they were able to give me the Porsche part number, which is 911 602 021 07.

A quick search tells me this distributor is for engine types 911/85, /90, /94, or /99, which makes it from a 1977 911s, for US/Canada/Japan markets.

Thanks,

Tom
