Sorry guys, excuse my ignorance, but why does everyone dislike him? I'm not familiar with his "background"...

I tell you Why Merv, Bello has not been a very good boy thru his carrier,He has Burn many ,Many people with parts and of course money,Im aware of 5 Incidents that I was Told directly from the Horses Mouth not from a 3 party,But the one that I remenber always was that he sold the Car that was running 9s to a Fellow In Costa Rica to make the story short they Swap the engine so when the car arrive at the Customers Land it was not even half as fast, not so nice thing to do, because of that he has many enemies.

pwd72s

No is not ok to be a crook, but he has talent and no one can take that away.... but I give you a few samples

1)Simson Kill someone and people still like him

2)Jack the Snake roberts is a Crack addict People still like Him

3)A lot of Catholic Priest (no offense to no one) are Child Molesters we still belive on the Church

4)Anna Nicole E Show sucks people still like her

and the list is endless, but if you look at him like a Robin Hood

then is no so bad, lol

Gotcha Juan..... Eddie is kinda like the people who raced some pretty hot 935's back in the old days right? Same last name as my first...then there were a couple of brothers. Hell, they even made it to Indy once. I'll admit, I've only read of "Eddie" on the net...I know nothing more. But as far as "dark side" goes? I wish to go no further than having a car with MFI. I wish to have no association with people who decide to set their own laws, and then profit from them. That's because, even after a stay at the gray bar hotel, they seem not to learn...until the stay becomes a permanent one. Then we just kind of forget about them, don't we? Some people may still like the people you mentioned.... Please don't count me among them. Paul..

I remember watching some fun in indianapolis at the import show there...

Eddie was there, and some punk kid who's dad won the lottery and bought him a viper showed up and basically started talking trash about the car in front of everyone...

the challenge was on...

The 911 absolutlely SPANKED the viper.

The viper driver got back, his "friends" came over to console him. He got out, threw his keys into the dash board and stormed off on foot...I went back to my business.

rumor was, they were running for pink slips....not sure about that though...

It musta been big though, because the whole show pretty much stopped when they ran, but there was no PA announcement or anything.

Yes he has SPANK a lot of people,BUT this days things have change the cars are faster than before,Even if you take a look at the STreet Class(which NHRA Import has cancel the cars are runing 9s so depending in which class he plans to run the car will have to be much faster than before,Only time will tell.

Thumbs down

I'm not familiar with the drag scene, so forgive me if this is dumb question. Has this guy ever survived a "tear down? (Do they even do teardowns to ensure compliance with whatever the rules may be?)

BTW - My experience is that people tend to act consistantly. If they believe that some of the rules/laws do not apply to them, then they usually believe that none of the rules/laws apply to them. (But they often believe that they apply to everyone else though).

Anyway, I don't have a lot of time for people like that. They can live their life and I'll live mine. Just don't expect me to be there if they ever need anything.

he's talking about "above the law" thinkers...

it's why I watch soccer and hockey and racing (not nascar)...the scandals aren't as high profile....except little Al....

What happened to Little Al? I live in a universe where NASCAR and the IRL don't exist, so Wee Al kind of dropped off the face of the planet...

I wasn't an IRL guy until the top 10 cars at the finish were running within a second....it's pretty damn exciting racing for being an oval...

Little Al's got a bit of a drinking problem, got in a tiff with his girlfriend and smacked her around or something...

I hope things get better for Little Al, then. That's always sad to hear.

The top ten cars within a second at the finish? That does sound good. Let's hope Max Mosely and Bernie Ecclestone sort F1 out so it can be a bit closer to that kind of racing, too.

He runs in the outlaw class, there aren't limitations on the engine that would require a teardown.
