Newcomer introduction

Hi

It has come to my attention that my new owner (let's just call him Dr. NO - geddid?) has been lurking and even posting to this illustrious board without properly introducing myself or himself. Actually, we've been debating who owns whom here. So let me put right this oversight without delay, and respectfully request the highly-regarded membership of this forum (and the even more selective SCWDP) the privilege to join.

I am a 911 SC (ID no 9118301990) born in Zuffenhausen in 1978. I can't remember exactly when, but at some point in my distant past I relocated to sunny South Africa, where I now live. I bought myself a new owner/driver about 4 months ago just to celebrate the 226000 km milestone (I should rather say km-stone), after looking the guy over for a month or two thinking about it. Anyway, this guy Dr. NO brought me into a nice Deutsche Familie with two other German cars (BMW's, but it could have been worse), and has since provided me with increasingly loving care. Hell, he treated me to new rubber and alignment, fixed the a/c and did lots of other small odds and ends so far. For Christmas, I may even get a new dash pad if I'm lucky. So I think I will spare him the big $$-bills for a while, what with my top-ends and cam chain tensioners & guides being fixed not so long ago. Maybe I'll burn him later when he's less suspicious.... I can't wait for him to do the first oil change and make the anticipated mess. He even screwed up the first oil top-up and overfilled, so I had to get my backside steamcleaned the other day. So, even after only 4 months, I think I have Dr. NO wrapped around my little #6 valve stem, or should that be my little gearlever, since he often likes to grab hold of that too? So much so that I got Dr. NO to type this message up for me. I tried uploading it myself, but I only have CIS, no DME computer - sorry.

Here are some pictures of myself, taken by Dr. NO. He still has to learn, jawohl! But one day he may even contribute.

Take care!

Welcome aboard. One favorite trick is to loosen your fuel pump relay just enough so that you don't start when it's warm - only after you've cooled down a bit. Drives 'em nuts!:p

Great introduction to you and Dr. No. What's with all these SCWDP Dr's? Are they all Proctologists or something? Not that there's anything wrong with that...Anyway welcome!
