Banjo bolt on fuel tank...

Hi. I am making some changes to my fuel tank and fuel pump on my 1970 911T. I am plugging the return line which means removing the banjo bolt and replacing with the plug. Is the banjo thread size M14? Looked around and can't seem to find much to confirm this? Thanks...

Since the gasket is 14mm, I'm thinking the thread size is the same. Be sure to use a real plug, and not a bolt, so the gasket seats properly.

Hey Capn. Would that be M14 x 1.5? I see on the PP diagrams for the fuel tank set up it says A8? I'm a bit confused, I have one shot at buying the right part to have it on the road over Christmas?! Cheers...

Most likely 14x1.5. Mid 80s VW Golf/Jettas used that size drain plug. 914s, too, IIRC. Get the copper gasket, too. Better auto parts stores should carry both. Locally, you might try Carquest. You don't say where you are, so it's hard to recommend a source. Oh, quality European car service shops should have what you need, too.
