Attn. Dr.'s: The Ultimate SCWDP Car?
Wouldn't this look good in the hospital parking lot? Even includes politically-incorrect tobacco livery!

Nonono Curt. The SCWDP doesn't want fuel inefficient MFI on their cars. They want nice reliable CIS.

A 3.2 in a SC, Blaspheme! A 3.6, we may be able to forgive. Most of us can be bought with enough HP.

The SCRS was used in the early eighties. This was the Paris to Dakar type car but decked out with big ground clearance and bull bars (crash bars) on the front. The engine was SC based, not Carrera based, and had a KugelFicher (sp) mehanical fuel injection system.

a short stroke 3.2? I think the SCWDP could handle that.

Yep, Surflover, I just checked in the SCWDP handbook and it had a really big ok next to where it said "3.2 short stroke engines are good for the boys".

Yeah, what Bill said.
It had a high compression 3.0, cams somewhere between early S and RSR, and Kugelfischer injection because CIS can't run such a cam. They made only a handful. From memory (from BAs book) power was about 255hp. The one in Curt's link might be modified if it is a 3.2. Not a bad thing ![]() Bill's second post - LOL

You’re mocking me, aren’t you?
![]() You guys seem to know your Porsche history, a guy I work with said that there were about 10 all aluminum RS’s produced. I thought he was probably full of BS but I really have no idea, since I don’t know a lot about, well, anything compared to some of the guys on this board. Ever heard of it?

Ryan, Yes I have heard of that. Not sure if they were ALL aluminum, but definitely the doors, hood, etc. Someone, (can't remember who at the moment), was telling a story of visiting the factory in '82, saw a worker holding a door w/ one hand, it was obviously not steel.
BTW, why doesn't anyone sell aluminum panels for 911s? Doesn't seem like rocket science, are they prohibitively expensive to manufacture?? Just wondering. If reasonable, they could sell a boat-load of 'em. ![]()
