Which Horns?

Hello,

One of my 1.5 year-old factory horns was dead--it was cracked and rusted to hell. Are there better alternatives out there? Which ones?

Thanks,

Kristian

I personally think that the Hella Air Horns sound pretty good, and they're not too expensive, although the Porsche factory horns are pretty good too.

I will be interested how the hell you access them. One of mine is loose and the bolt on the back seems inaccessible.

For years I never realized mine were red; they were so dirty. One day for whatever reason I decided to clean them and was pleasantly surprised at what was underneath. Just one of the little subtle things about the 911 I like. The sound ain't bad either.

Well they are two different types of horns. The Porsche ones are electric and the Hella ones air. So they do have a different sound. The Hella ones are a lower pitch and the Porsche ones a higher pitch.

Try to find an original VW beetle horn...people will go nuts trying to figure it out...
