Okay! Gingerman on Sunday with SpeedTrial

We're changing our schedule a bit and going to attend the SpeedTrial Event at Gingerman on Sunday. THere were some mentions of this from other people...

Is anyone else going to go to this?

I'm sharpening the claws on the 930 in anticipation!

Count me in...what time will the festivities start?

8:00-8:30am Arrive, register (if you haven't already), check-in, and tech-inspection
8:30-9:00am Mandatory driver's meeting
9:00-12:00am Morning practice
12:00-1:00pm Lunch
1:00-5:00pm Afternoon practice
5:00pm Go home

Cost is $135 for the day if you register by 5:00 thursday. $160 if you pay at the track.

Four run groups usually with 20 minutes a run rotating all day. Generally 20 on, 40-60 off all day.

Chris, glad you can make it!

To all, we will have a canopy set up so come on over. To find us, my car is Chiffon White with a black Carrera script on the bottom, there will be a red cab (probably with #400 on the sides), a silver boxster S with a grey top and a silver 996. Black Bravada tow and a trailex trailer.

How are you fitting a canopy in the Porsche?

I'm debating on run groups.. Was thinking the advanced one, but I don't know if that will be full of fully race prepped cars... Otherwise the next one down.

I ran advanced in my racecar in the spring... But I only have street rubber and suspension on the 930... Any suggestions?

Good point about the race prepped cars. I tried to get into the alfa club on Saturday, which is sold out. I gave the guy my lap times and he suggested advanced. He also said there were a lot of Vettes and other hi-po cars showing up to do the two day event.

Sign up for advanced. I am sure it will be easier to move down a group than moving up if there is too much traffic.

If I can get my brakes to work evenly, maybe I'll be able to keep up with youse guys.

One more thing... If anyone has an extra SA-95 helmet, bring it along... SOmeone may need a loaner... Occasionally for a passenger?
