Fan blade not coming off

Hi all
I just put this fan blade on 2 weeks ago after rewelding the area where shims sit unfortunately this fan blade is not holding the pulley tight enough creating noise at the fan pulley mount I've been trying to get it fan blade off again heated it wiggled it and still won't release the fan from alternator I really was hoping to not have to remove everything again to get fan blade off any other suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks

Do you have all 6 shims and the washer and properly tightened? If so it won’t rotate.

As to removing you will likely have to remove the whole assembly and use wood blocks to support just the fan and use a plastic mallet to drive the shaft through

Thanks the weld may be not enough for secure mounting I'm going to try and use a puller first before I take it all apart again and I might have to get a new fan blade

I pulled mine and as mb911 said, supported the fan well and kept tapping till it came apart. It took awhile.
I would be very careful, the magnesium is very soft and can easily be damaged. A good magnesium fan blade with no chips is not cheap.

I have a puller that works for this on the car. Pulls from little holes and pushes on the alt. shaft

Select two of the 16 little holes in the fan, 180 degrees from each other, and with a 6mm x 1.00 tap, install threads. Then use two small bolts threaded thru the fan to the alternator housing (careful not to hit the windings) and tighten each bolt 1/4 turn at a time until the fan goes "ploink" and comes loose.
